Assignment Basics

Assignments create a grade item in Canvas and have a due date function. Beyond that, the possibilities are pretty broad. Assignments can be used to record a score for activities that happen in class, like participation. They can be used for work that is submitted in person in the lab, like a weld or a cake. Assignments can also be used for work students complete and upload to Canvas like a word document or excel file.
