In this session we discuss the they “why” and “how” of automated canvas quizzes. Instructors are encouraged to use quizzes for more than just testing, and we discuss authentic assessments along with Bloom’s taxonomy of learning and alignment based design. We take a look at the predominant list of research backed multiple-choice question best practices before learning how to build automatically graded quizzes in Canvas. We finish off by learning how to use question statistics to improve our quizzes.
