Zoom meetings are susceptible to being hacked and attacked by trolls with profanity and obscenity laden “Zoom Bombing”. While not as potentially harmful here as in a K-12 classroom, they certainly are unwelcome, and you should use the tools you have available to minimize a disruption.
Waiting Rooms
Waiting Rooms are now enabled as the OTC default setting. When the Waiting Room is enabled, students must be admitted to the Zoom Room by the Host. At OTC, you do not currently have the option to disable the Waiting Room. While this minimizes unauthorized users, but it does mean you need to monitor your Waiting Room closely and often to ensure participants are not inadvertently blocked from your meeting.
