Pages
Pages contain content and resources. This may be content that you, the instructor, have personally written or recorded. Alternately, it may be content created by others, or simply links to outside resources. We recommend a mix! The reason that you are the instructor is so your students can hear your voice and perspective, as well as, your personal style and humor. Quizzes
The term Quizzes is used for assessments that may be formative or summative; they may be short – like what we traditionally think of as a “quiz”; or substantially longer – like what we might call a “Chapter Test”, or a midterm- or final- “Exam”. You can also use the Quizzes feature to create ungraded surveys, or auto-graded worksheet-style assignments. Discussions
Discussions are pages where students, or groups of students, may interact with each other’s writing (or video or audio recordings). You can use them in the same way you might use an in-class discussion, though most participation will be asynchronous. They may be graded or ungraded. Graded discussions will show up in the Gradebook… ungraded will not. Learn more about Discussions at the following links: What are Discussions?
