Synchronous Zoom: Best Practices
When pivoting to remote instruction or teaching hybrid “Zoom Offsite”, it may seem natural to continue teaching as you would in the seated environment. Know that this approach may not always translate well. Some students will have limited streaming access or more distractions and interruptions, making viewing an entire class period synchronously more challenging.

There are many ways to facilitate a Zoom session with your class. However, simply broadcasting a classroom lecture through Zoom and to your face-to-face seated class synchronously can be challenging. Adding interactive activities throughout the session is an effective way to break up a session and gather feedback from your students.
